"Al Qaeda leaders were able to hold a large meeting somewhere in south Yemen despite U.S. drone warfare targeting that region, according to a video published on Hot Air. The video comes from a CNN report: A new video shows what looks like the largest and most dangerous gathering of al Qaeda in years. And the CIA and the Pentagon either didn't know about it or couldn't get a drone there in time to strike. U.S. officials won't comment on that, but every frame of the video is now being analyzed by the United States. In the middle of the clip, the man known as al Qaeda's crown prince, Nasir al-Wuhayshi, appears brazenly out in the open, greeting followers in Yemen. Al-Wuhayshi, the No. 2 leader of al Qaeda globally and the head of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has said he wants to attack the United States. But in the video, he looks unconcerned that he could be hit by an American drone

Why would we bomb our allies? If we attack them they will not be as willing to help us destabilise Syria. The State Department is looking at the big picture. |

Looks like Drones/CAS showed up over AQ in Yemen, two days in a row
14 AQ sent to Allah and @ 3 civilains
Yes, it's too bad about the non-combatant losses
But in a guerilla war, you can't tell the bad guys from the locals [that's the way guerilla warfare works]
And, yes, by design the bad guys move among the locals[read Mao and Che']
Well IMO, 14 down, a few 100,000 more to go

And on the Afghan front, 3 US aid workers including a Doctor were executed by one of the Afghan Security guards at one of the hospitals there
He later tried kill himself but he is still alive at this time
Gee I wonder why he'd do such a thing ? < sarcasm alert > I really, really, think everyone from the West needs to abandon that region
and leave them to their own devices. Maybe they will kill themselves all off, die of starvation and disease, etc. Save, of course, for a sky full of US drones to be used if they look like they want to threaten the West again
Or anytime it looks like the Taliban/AQ types are having a meeting

A shame we don't have any B-52s, or B-52 drones circling overhead. A strike by those could take out the entire lot in a single pass. |

Thing is that within a week of this meeting 55 scumbags did get a chance to see how our drones work. |
Legion 4 | 27 Apr 2014 9:06 a.m. PST |
Yes, by the time they know they are under a Drone or CAS strike
it hopefully maybe too late
And I'd like to see more B52s(13 tons each), B1s(60 tons), B2s(60 tons) dropping ordinance, but the collateral damage may be a bit counter productive
however
war is a very bad and nasty business
