Another Zvezda conversion, this time in the assumption that the half track they listed a couple of years ago will not appear
(Zis-22 conversion amongst other winter gear
PP figures, QRF aerosans, Zvezda fighter)Scratchbuilt tracks and ski sabots, cut out windows (and added tilted windscreen) plus Milliput jacket over the engine
(painted as usual with Vallejo acrylics over a black Humbrol enamel undercoat)I have modelled it with bed empty for versatility (troop carrier/log/tow/AA mount
)
(model and contemporary photo
a reasonable match?)A bit tricky but an interesting variation on the 'Zis truck' theme

I've been enjoying the little zvezda 1:100 kits. You did a great job approximating that picture. |

Beautiful! Of course no one in his right mind would voluntarily open his tilt windscreen in conditions requiring skis and snow chains :) |

there's certainly not much photographic evidence for it 7dot62mm (maybe it is jammed open?)
Thanks for the comments and clicks
