Went to Salute last weekend and saw the new 28mm Napoleonic range from Gringos – French Engineers. Brilliant figures and beautifully painted. I also managed to obtain a French Marines of the Guard officer. Beautiful sculpt and should paint up really well unfortunately none painted on show-but the unpainted sculpt speaks for itself.

If you haven't seen them yet, look on the Gringos site – you WON'T be disappointed.

Best wishes DaveL

To my regret missed Salute but spent the weekend in glorious sunshine in a field south of Brussels instead. We had a sneak preview on this forum where there was some doubt about the anatomy of the engineers. I have to admit the officer is in need of a bit of work on his legs, to lengthen them, but does seem a marvellous casting. The Marines look superb.

Again. imaginative choices and to be encouraged…but not a Gendarme d'Elite to be seen anywhere….not yet anyway
