Here are some pictures of Saturday's game at Salute, which features my minis, together with ships by me, Mark Backhouse and Legatus Hedlius, and terrain built by Guy Bowers of Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy and his Brixham Berserk mates.

We can start with a shot of the game in progress, taken by Legatus Hedlius:

Alan Daniels took this one, of legionaries wading ashore:

Elaine Daniels took this photo of shirking legionaries gambling on the deck of a galley:

…and of Caesar's secret weapon!

Do have a look at the blog, there are a lot more photos there:

Wow! … if that's what you get, I'll have to start leaving my camera behind, too wink

Great selection of pictures from your guest photographers, Simon

Thanks chaps; hi Mike!

The Galleys are Grand Manner; and very nice they are, too. There's a fair bit of work in them, though, I gather.

Yes, particularly on the oars which are not provided and so have to be bought (I used bamboo skewers), measured and cut to length – 78 of them!)

Oh THAT Steve! Yes was very nice meeting up! Not long to Partizan; I am starting at a couple of legions of half painted Romans, right now, wishing they are rather further along the way.
