Today we played the final battle of our Turn 5 Sudan Campaign. It was a another hard fight. I hope you enjoy the AAR in pictures. Guru link |

Oh, man!!! Very exciting, Dan! My only question is
why did it stop there?!?!?! Seems like both sides would have wanted to keep going, each for their own reason -- don't want to provide any spoilers! Anyhow, well done, Dan, everyone playing in this campaign is lucky to have you around -- and the photo progression was EXCELLENT! |

Good question Mad Guru. We simply were running out of time and believe it or not we had a little snow storm brewing outside so it was time to pack it up and let everyone get home. But your right if we played out the three more turns the Yorkshires and the remainder of the sailors would have been in a world of hurt. This battle put two units at 1/2 strength which greatly effects their campaign forces moving forward. And once the baggage was lost and there was no way for them to reach the ridge line it was a good point to call it. |

You can justify the pause by claiming the Dervish stopped too loot the baggage train allowing the remaining Brits to withdraw. Excellent game can't wait to see how this effects the rest of the campaign. |
