I wish they would finish the light cavalry for late 15th century first.

French Wargame Holidays13 Apr 2014 6:28 a.m. PST

ohhhh like that idea FM…

Pedrobear13 Apr 2014 6:29 a.m. PST

I would imagine those and the foot knights are ahead of these in the queue?

waaslandwarrior13 Apr 2014 6:34 a.m. PST

I've seen the "3 ups" at Salute yesterday. They look excellent, and I will buy a few boxes when they are available.

Don't hurry though, the Perry bro's told me it might be a while. Maybe end of the year, or more likely next year.

@waaslandwarrior: Great! I can finish at least one army till they are released, so I can drown myself in plastic sprues in 2015.

Is it just a set of HYW infantry, or will they also have knights and other mounted figures in plastic?

jowady13 Apr 2014 7:46 p.m. PST

Cool, I'm looking forward to these. I really like the new generation plastics.

Landgraft13 Apr 2014 8:56 p.m. PST

Just yesterday I was looking at their HYW metals and wishing they were in plastic… these will do just nicely.

Considering that the two late 15th century sets displayed in last Salute have not been released yet, I would not expect to see these very soon. Depends of course on how much other new stuff they have been revealing.

I think from a quick chatt at Salute that the plastic foot Knights are due around August/September

Some good pictures now up on the Perry plastics workbench, titled "Agincourt to Orleans 1415-1429 English Infantry".

Dawnbringer15 Apr 2014 1:23 p.m. PST

And just when these finally come out they will preview early HYW stuff. So it goes… :p

If they include hand gonne variants they work for Hussite Wars too!

They've already said that the archers will make up the majority of the box, but it looks like those men at arms could carry their own box.

Very excited for this release. Wondering if its pushed the light cavalry to the side, seeing as its coming on so fast.

Wondering if its pushed the light cavalry to the side, seeing as its coming on so fast.

Sounds likely, considering that the archer sprue has already been sent to tooling, and that these men-at-arms seem to be pretty complete (and Perrys just confirmed on TMP news talk that there will be no command sprue included), and that there has been no updates on the light cavalry set lately.

That said, when these will be out of the way, they will hopefully be able to concentrate better on the light cavalry set, with no other (publicly announced) plastic sets in the queue.

Perrys now have archer test sprue on show on their plastic workbench:

Now they also have a group shot of assembled archers:
