The hands still look stupid big. |

Nice review, thanks. The gunner with his thumb down is indeed stopping the vent while the gun is loaded. |

How do these compare to Front Rank? I guess they will be smaller but I had a look at the Warlord stand at Salute and thought the upcoming engineers and voltigeurs looked very nice, they also seemed to be quite big which makes me think they could work with FR. Any idea how the British compare? |

"The hands still look stupid big." I fully agree – but then, if they were smaller they'd be that much harder to drill out
Many thanks to ferg81 for a really useful review! |

All In answer to the Front Rank question (which seems common) you can see a photo of two figures and a short synopsis here. link To cut a long story short, they are basically the same size Thanks F |

Thanks for the reply. I'll get a box next time I see them. |

Jesus Christ, those hands! Also I'm not entirely sure Napoleonic Brits was the best they could come up with
there are already two sets on the market, the easier Perry, and the more complex Victrix – it's up to one's personal preferences which of them do the like, my vote is on Victrix as I like assembling plastics. But
wouldn't a Spanish box, or British cavalry would have been better? |

Zirrian In terms of complexity – I'd say there was nothing in it between the Perry and Victrix sets – you need to stick the arms, head and pack onto the body for each. This assembly was enough to make many people moan at spending "hours" assembling the figures. The Perries are pretty much just in firing line positions, and the Victrix require you to buy two or three boxes to assemble a battalion that are marching, advancing at high porte or whatever. Big hands or not, the Warlord figures cater for those people willing to stick the head and pack on a marching figure – and you don't need to buy a separate box to get the flankers the way you do with Victrix. And, to their credit, the metal officers appear to have improved over those included with their previous sets (the Russians were bloody awful). Spanish would be good – but I'm amazed nobody has released French artillery in plastic, as that seems to me to be the last big gap in the French army as far as plastics are concerned. |

Yeah the lack of French artillery in plastic confounds me too

and British heavy cavalry |

Littlearmies: I see your points, but I'm not sure it justifies a third set of them. As you and others said, French artillery and British cavalry is much more needed. |

About 80% of napoleonic gamers want their close order infantry in marching pose only. That makes the perry box totaly useless, and the victrix 2/3 usless. |

Let's hear it for the 20%
