Hello All, Apologies – my first attempt this wouldn't let me cross-post. For those of you not already bored by photos of Salute 2014 here are some of mine. I thought the standard of presentation was generally up on last year and there seemed to be more people attending. It also seemed darker (or maybe my eyes are getting worse). A good fun day: link Malc |

Malc I think it was darker. I'm 30 and found the light difficult. I thought I was lacking sugar, and a hot chocolate and two muffins later, it was still the same. Definately the lights!! F |

Great photos. I have to get across the pond and attend Salute before my time here is over. |

I like your close ups of the figures especially, its hard to see the fine details on most of the posts from this years Salute! Many thanks! |

Definitely darker. Really struggled with reading anything (like the plan) this year. |

A nice write up with some good commentary, and the zip wire looked like fun! Thanks for posting. My whole group felt the lighting was poorer this year, so you weren't the only one. I found it hard to find my way round the show, even armed with the plan, as the aisles didn't have any kind of signpost, and a good few games had nothing on them to tell you who they were or what they were playing. But there were some good 'uns to look at! |

I know there was a big debate on TMP about Excel and John Treadway did an admirable job in explaining the many pro's agains the cons for the current choice of Excel, and yes it probably is the best location bar possibly the O2 arena. However the lighting is poor and this year I also found it even harder, but I am short sighted. Solution, next year I'm bringing a torch |

PS a big thankyou to South London Warlords for an outstanding top notch job |

Thanks for the very kind comments – when I did my original post above I was a bit concerned about whether there was an uploading limit to Blogger. Anyway, here are some more shots of Salute for those of you who aren't bored with it already: link |
