Saturday the local HMGS-South group played a game of Hail, Agrippa!. The Hail, Agrippa! rules are a modification of Hail Caesar.

This was a great game, with a lot of fun had by the gamers.

I commanded the central Ptolemaic fleet. Through brilliant tactical play (translation: very lucky dice), I was able to defeat 2 Antigonid heavy divisions. Then just as I wanted to reverse course to save my light division, the gods deserted me. A "blunder" roll on the command dice resulted in my heavies rowing full speed in the opposite direction, taking them out of the battle at a critical time, while my lights were rammed and sunk. After that, my command rolls only allowed me to mill about, threatening open flanks, but not having sufficient speed to close with the furiously maneuvering Antigonids.

Thanks to Warren (NCC1717, himself) for putting on the afternoon's event!

Rick
