Soviets painted grey should do the trick, can't believe the helmets differences will show up in 6mm to be honest. |

I would use GHQ's 46 German Heer troops they are wearing the experimental new helmet that was eventually used by the East Germans. Excellent sculpts |

Only problem with GHQ infantry is they're scaled to 1/220th, while their tanks are 1/285th, which I find disturbing when mixing the two together on the tabletop. Not sure if H&R do East Germans, but if not, we could lobby them to make some, since I could certainly use a bunch. |

For me a huge reason to do 6mm is so you can ignore these tiny differences. If no one makes East Germans just paint something close the right color. If I want to sweat those kinds of details I;d go 28mm… |
