The Castle Wall is designed to offer wargaming on multiple levels. The parapet is easy to take off and slot back in so that the gamer can move figures inside the Castle Wall. As well as this, the back of the wall can be left off completely allowing the figures to be easily accessed throughout the whole game."

So many castle kits from different folks these days. Lots of good options. :) |

Neat, I'm just too OCD about my wall thicknesses. |

Dawnbringer, largely I agree with you (I remember being deeply unappy with my old Airfix Roman Marching fort untl I bought multiple sets and stuck the walls back to back!) But to be fair I don't think the walls in this set are unrealistic from the outside, width wise. If you don't take the tops off I think they're perfectly acceptable. I just think that the inside areas have been 'game-ized' to enable you to put figures in the walls and so have thin skins. If you either stick them all together with glue or just chose not to use the wall internals (or just accept that it's a fudge to get figures – which all carry unrealistic circles of metal or plastic attacked to their feet [ie their bases] – into the walls) then I think they look really good! John, Yeah, if I was going to build it as a solid wall it would work well, I would just have to fill in the arrow slits. Someday I'm just going to order a crap tonne of Hirst arts blocks and summon my old lego building skills, but with glue. And don't mention bases. I saw an article by Jake Thornton where he used clear plastic bases so they would always match the terrain. It's only the amount of work that it would take that stops me from going and re-basing all my figs. |

Crap, at that price it makes GW's old castle a good deal. Well, it always rather has been, but even they are charging less for a wall section when bought individually. |

Agreed with the GW price, but that is compairing apples with oranges. There is quite a difference in quality. What do you want ? Quantity or quality. I have learned that to buy cheap is to buy expensive in the end. Quality has it price. |

Belgian, the GW walls are sturdy and get the job done. |
