My pal, Ian, bought Eagle Figures last year and is steadily trying to rationalise and revitalise the business. This is his first Salute this year and I hope you'll forgive the shameless plug. His ranges are principally Horse and Musket and his Napoleonics and Seven Years War figures stand comparison with _any_ of the competition. For example: link and link Please visit his stand at Salute: you may find something you like. Steve |

I could not agree more Steve. I have always liked this range and am pleased Ian has revived it. I particularly like the marching Prussian infantry, and there are more poses than in the unit in the link. The 18th Century gun and crew is a magnificent piece. You can normally see one on his stand at shows. Well worth a look! His Napoleonic Spanish range contains not only the early war uniforms but many of the mid war and late war troops which are often overlooked by other ranges. |

Not sure if this qualifies as a sock puppet or not as I was partly responsible for some of the things that David Atkins produced "back in the day" – but I would add my dulcet tones to the above praise. I have always felt that the Prussian firing line are some of the nicest figures ever produced (and they marry well by the way with Foundry command for variety). Another of my special likes is the Hungarian musketier at the ready. Shaun, I do not think I know the gun and crew you mention, or it has not stuck in my mind as something particular – any chance of a pwetty piccie? Kind regards C. |

There are some very nice figures – well proportioned too. They do fit in with the Perry figs very well, in particular for anyone doing the peninsular war. I wish I had known about them when I built my Prussian 7YW army a few years ago. Steve – that's very nice brushwork on the Musketeer regiment you posted a link to. |

I have at least 24 SYW battalions painted (24 figures each for my Tricorne Rules) for many years using Eagle figures. I stand by my review in the Courier several years ago that the Prussian and Austrian infantry figures are the most accurate ever made. I use Suren, Stadden and Crusader officers for some variety. |

I'm guessing these are 28mm figs, based upon the painting detail. Of course, I could be wrong. |

Yes, Widowson, they are 28mm figs. Tom |

Well, Steve, he can thank you for generating an order for him! Thanks. I was not aware these were available again and glad to see him adding to the range! Tom |

They are a lovely range
.. I saw them at Alumwell and had a chance to speak to Ian and his painter. I will certainly be stopping by the stand if I get a chance at Salute, need to boost my Riflemen for the Peninsular British I have
..must not be tempted into starting my Spanish project before I finish the British though! 😁 |

These were Under the Eagle,am I correct? Mark |

Good news! They are really nice figures. I have a regiment I'd lost in the deepest, darkest recesses of the closet. It surfaced recently, and I'd been thinking about building an army. Grelber |

They are the figures that "Under The Eagle" used to license in the US, I believe, but they are and have always been Eagle Figures. Thanks to everyone for the responses. I hope Ian has a great Salute, he's certainly working hard for it. Steve |
