"After the end of THE WALKING DEAD Sundays over at AMC will be taken over by TURN, new historical series ready to premier April 6th, and today you can check out the atmospheric cast pictures from the epic saga. Based on Alexander Rose's book 'Washington's Spies', AMC's TURN tells the untold story of America's first spy ring. A historical thriller set during the Revolutionary War, TURN centres on Abe Woodhull (played by movie star Jamie Bell), a farmer living in British occupied Long Island who bands together with his childhood friends to form the Culper Ring – an unlikely team of secret agents who not only went on to help George Washington turn the tide of the war but also gave birth to modern spycraft"

Will be all over it this evening. May have to do the PIP with Games of Thrones…I think both come on the same time.

So who do you think killed the British Officer?? Looked like his throat had been slit. So far I think the show looked pretty good.

Is this a remake of the tv series 'The Rebels' that I remember watching as a kid in New Zealand in the 1970s ? Sounds like a very similar theme of young patriots serving behind the British lines providing Washington with vital intelligence. Can anyone else remember this American-made series ?

Gave up half way through the first episode, when "Major Andre" (who was a Lieutenant POW at the time) showed up with what looked like a Lord of the Rings hairdo.

Ugh.

And yet more character assasination of Simcoe, etc.

Stacky- you are probably referring to "The Young Rebels" that featured a very young Lou Gossett, Jane aired on the American Broadcasting Company network in the early 1970's. I barely remember that show and would love to see it out on DVD. To further interest in the American Revolution era, I would hope somebody more competent than I would remake "The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh" and set it during the American Revolution rather than in England. That would be cool…
