Yesterday James and I kicked off our Chain of Command – At the Sharp End campaign pitting my Moroccan Regulares against his Anarchist Militia in the defence of Madrid.

I have done an introductory article here: link

Last night the first game was played out as the Moroccans probed the Anarchist lines in the Probe scenario.

As can be expected it was a resounding victory for the Moroccans.

Although in his role as Durutti, James was a much more caring commander less contemptuous of their lives. In another surprise he also remembered to use the Tear Gas from his Asaltos!

I've done a full report with loads of pictures here: link

Tremendous work. I like everything that you have achieved. Those figures and vehicles have been painted extraordinarily well. Great blog and photographs.
Amazing figures.

'En el frente'- in the front/at the front, 'En el filo'- translates more as 'in line' as 'in the queue'……

But a cracking report- Viva Durruti- better luck next time!

jdginaz04 Apr 2014 9:32 p.m. PST

Al Frente is at the front.

Gaz004504 Apr 2014 10:17 p.m. PST

It also translates as 'to the front'……'al frente'……..

Superb, great painting – a very inspiring project :-)

Gaz004505 Apr 2014 5:52 a.m. PST

I am using some of the militia photos as 'painting guides'- shameless but the figures are really well done……..flattery and copying etc!
