Hello fellow Salute gamers,
if you are putting on a game at Salute, Hows it going?
Has the 'painting panic' set in yet? only a coupla weeks to go!

What game are you doing, and, as I said, are you on target? or will you be up at 3am Saturday, drying varnished figures with a hair-dryer!

Oh, doing a 54mm (or course) Trebbia game, currently painting Britains Elephants, and scratch-building Howdahs from Starbucks wooden stirring sticks!

Hi John. Looking forward to seeing your game, they are always impressive!

A departure from WW2 this year…..

If you are varnishing on the Saturday you will have missed the show:-)

Read the OP, 3am Saturday. ;-)
We've all been there, that last tank/building/command group/
Wooded area. And it takes so much linger than you think. Then it's 3am Saturday!

And yes Cerdic, wanted a change. It was getting to be, 'oh yeah, that's John who does the big WWII games'
I'm trying to bring the 'F**k me' factor back! (apologies for the swearing, but the quote just won't work if bleeped)
Come say hello on the day!

I'll look forward to seeing your game, John! I saw some pics of them online, a while back. Looked great!

Cheers, Simon

(who will probably be painting ships the night before Salute)

Funnily enough, that is what I said when I saw your Arnhem set up……

Hahaha! That's always the idea!

See you all there! Happy painting!

Just as an aside, Cerdic, did you know that the whole 70ft+ Market Garden game weighed in at just under half a ton?! Mental! As an exercise in size and 'over-the-top-ness' it certain succeeded! Would never attempt anything of that magnitude again. (oh dear, I'm gonna regret that!) :-)

If your a TMPer, do come say hello on the day, be good to meet peeps from here.

Half a ton? No wonder you went for mere elephants this time! I shall definitely stop by and say "Hi!"

Hail, seizure! We who are about to Salute…er…salute thee.
