Hi guys, need some opinions on my Tau mech, (its just blu tacked together at the moment) I like it so far, forgot I had some spare parts from the 2 drivers in my Tau Piranha kit that I am using to build a devilfish/hammerhead, I like the small head and weapons, they go a long way to giving it a Tau feel, and I happy with the pose, what else can I do to make it more Tauish? I have guitar strings I can use for cables, but think that may make it look less Tau.

Lovely! I think it looks very tau-ish already. I wouldn't add cables – that's very much against the whole Tau aesthetic.

yeah will avoid cables, making some extra thigh armour at the moment

That looks incredible.

What is the base kit from?

it was a mode lock Gemsback, i got it cheap from HLJ, the arms are off Khurasans H-vac.

Some times less is more, i think it looks good as it is and you can really go to town on it when you paint it up.

I'd have to agree, I don't think i'd add anything else.

LOL, too late.

very nice! the only thing i have is the gattling gun on the left hand (or watever u call it in Tau has too many joints, the "hand" area should probably be more linear to make it more "Tau-ish"…lol

Great inspiring build Gunner,
If it were me & if you haven't painted it up yet :):):), I'd add small ( 2mm diameter )tau embossed hemispheres where the moving joints would be ( unless you'd want them to be hidden under the armour). I'd also drop the burst gun, it's too much, but I'd open the fist.

Don't want to put the spanner in your works but the head might also look better if filed squarish to go along with the general angles of the figure ( like the knee pads ). A quick sketch will show this.
