"The operation Serval in Mali is a war without images for the press. Nevertheless, from the first day of the intervention, on January 11th, 2013, the French army filmed everything – or almost everything. These unseen images were recorded by military cameramen. A war behind closed doors, led at first by the Air force and the very discreet Special forces.

For the first time, several journalists were able to access pictures shot by the army from the beginning of the conflict. These pictures allow to understand who the enemy the military had to face – and still faces – in Mali is. Thanks to this document, we also discover how and with which means the jihadists are fighting."
