How do you 'break'down a 40 X 40 stand?

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

As for breaking down the 40 x 40 bases, I don't mean literally snapping them in half. First of all, I like the 40s a lot more – easier to handle and transport. If you want each one to represent two separate bases, you can hang a little, colored O-ring on a bayonet or place a die behind the stand to reflect it now only represents a single stand once a stand is knocked out of action.
