A friend of mine worked at a specialist steel manufacturer – they had a photo library going back to glass plate pictures of R101 that they'd built some stuff for. Of course, it got bulldozed in the 1970s. He saved some from the skips, but most of it was gone forever. |

Great pictures. The captions by the daily mail are worse than the public comments – not that this should be surprising. |
