It's been quite a while since I bought models, and 1/100 is a new scale for me. Back in the day (like 40 years ago), you could buy models at drug stores and department stores. I'm wondering if there are any retailers that still carry models (besides hobby shops or game stores, which don't always have 1/100 armor). Know of any (general) B&M retailers that have 1/100 scale armor? Does FoW sell enough that you can find it outside hobby shops or game stores? |

I haven't seen FoW outside of hobby stores. At least not the models. Well, I take that back. I know ONE drugstore that still sells models, but it's in Moscow, ID. If you don't mind mail-order, Neal at thewarstore.com is the man. If you're going to play Soviets, you should do yourself a favor and buy the Zvezda Katyushas. They're a lot cheaper and easier to build, too. |
