I thought I'd cobble together an Italian Lombard army to face my Nikephorean Byzantines in a solo tryout of DBA 3.0. Great fun and the Nikephoreans should be less disappointing in this rules set. Writeup here: link |

Are those "recoil" counters part of the 3.0 rules? |

@Goragrad – Hopefully it's not that much of a wait for the release of 3.0. I'm ignoring the drafts that came out a while back, just relying on the posts from those in the know that if you have the 2.2 lists should be able to be used for 3.0, ie, the 3.0 lists are configured in such a way that the 2.2 list would be legal. But I'll take that with a pinch of salt – there might be some particular option that isn't legal, or it might be legal but not the best option. @punkrabbit – No they are just there for show. I downloaded them from *somewhere* on Neldoreth's website a few years ago: hourofwolves.org |

Great report, thanks much for showing this. I think that DBA III is going to be the best ancients game that we seen since the original came out. It's really exciting with the new changes in the rules and in the new army list . I'm really looking forward to it. |
