So I have to be honest, ECW has never been my period, when it comes to pike and shot 30YW has always been my thing.

And so I bought my ECW figures simply because the empress figures are so fantastic, I just had to paint them.

but that means I'm not that invested into the period, in the other periods I've done, I have had my favorite regiments.
Be they Napoleonic, 7YW, WW2 ect.

But not here, I do plan on reading up on the period, but it's kinda on the back log.

So I do know that Britan had the colonel raising regiments, and they did this well into the 18c century.

So I was thinking, should I raise my own regiment or even brigade? choosing my own uniform colors ect. (with in historical limits)

Kinda Gunfreaks Regiment?

Go for it. I did that with a regiment of my WSS French Cav. : )

I always have my own regiment in every era. Do it, just do it!

Yes, no reason why not. It's a very easy period to make an imaginary but total plausible looking unit.

I've done that for campaigns to blind players to the characteristics of the units. Characters and locations from the BBC radio 4 farming soap "The Archers" often crop up.
