I'm sure we'll have Wave 4 by Thanksgiving. Probably. But it is FFG…

I just went out to their site and what I see states "not yet available" and when clicking on the picture it brings up the next page which states "not yet released" so where does it say or how does that translate to "in the factory"? Or is there another area I should be looking at that says this?

From the FFG front page, choose "Upcoming". It's a long list, so from there I do a search for "x-wing". Add in a cup of coffee, and I've just described my morning ritual.

I just did as you state and saw where it states expected in Q2 of 2014 which of course is quarter 2 so maybe April thru June but no where does it state in the factory.

Woohoo, I'm hoping Aces will be at my FLGS when I go to the open boardgaming night tomorrow.

It's a relatively safe bet that Wave 4 will be in by GenCon if not earlier. Barring mayhem (always possible), some advance packs are expected to arrive airmail before the end of May. Like with the 'Kessel Run', these will be prizes for special 'Assault at Imdaar Alpha' events.

There's a little icon in the lower right of each entry. The E-Wing, for example, has a little orange factory displayed. The key to these icons is defined at the top of the list, on the right side, under "Information". The orange factory means "At the Printer". Artistic license let me translate that to "In The Factory".

I'm not certain what the term for it is, but whoever is supposed to be in charge of the production and distribution efforts at FFG clearly needs some help.

First, they need someone who can help them more accurately access and predict product demand, and plan manufacturing amounts appropriately.

Second, they need someone who can help them more accurately schedule production, or at least "ride herd" on their suppliers to ensure that manufacturing occurs in a timely manner.

Third, they need someone who can help them expedite the overseas shipping efforts from their supplier to their warehouse (because the current situation is ridiculous. A wind-driven clipper ship moves faster than whatever tug they're using now!

Fourth, they need someone who can help them distribute their products effectively to stores. My FLGS can't get the products they want to shelve; they'll order twelve and get two. And they've been told that if they try to add other distribution sources or go direct, they'll only end up at the tail end of those waiting lists, and likely wind up with nothing at all. Meanwhile, WizKids throws product at 'em by the boxful. Heck, they get bigger shipments from startups like Ares Games… And they even know when and what's coming from them. FFG's handling of distribution is pathetic by comparison.

*sigh* But I guess I can wait. I'd better, 'cause I'll have to.

It's not like we don't have enough ships to play decent games now.

I'll make a bet that all of you that posted and probably those who have read this thread have more X-wing miniatures then you know what to do with them now :)
