Hi, What would be more accurate as far as 1914 German cavalry pennants go? Black over white or white over black? Please no jokes, depends what way the wind is blowing, etc. Thanks!

White over black, to judge from the (admittedly not very good) photograph of German Hussars in 1914 I'm looking at.

Bavaria – White over blue
Saxony – White over green
Hesse – White over red
Württemberg – Black over red
Baden – Yellow over red

The colored pennants were carried by troops, NCOs' pennants were general white with the emblem of the state on it. Troopers of the 1st Hussars had a death head on theirs. white on black. While the 2nd had black on white.

NCO pennants:
Prussia – line Eagle
Bavaria – State Arms with supporters
Saxony – State Arms
Hesse – Hessian Lion in wreath
Württemberg – State Arms with supporters
Baden – Griffin with shield
Mecklenburg – State Arms
Oldenburg – State Arms

I doing this from memory, but I believe it to be right.
