Comments or corrections?

I have two sources for uniforms re this unit ( Garde te Paard). Sapherson gives blue coat, blue cuffs, red horse furniture, all with gold decoration or edging. Grants "From Pike to Shotte" and his book on Marlburian wars, both give red linings, so presumably red cuffs. Anyone know which is correct or if colour changed from 1690 to 1704?
Also wondering about the rolled cloak/ blanket- blue? Red? Grey?

Pat Condray (a Wargamers guide to the age of Marlborough) cites Wagner and Kuhn in saying:

Coat: Medium blue
Cuffs: Red
Vest: Blue
Pants: Blue
Buttons: Gold
Hat lace: Gold/Silver
Shabraque: Red with Gold trim
Overcoat: Blue
Neck cloth: Red

NB: The overcoat was a mantle with a gold monogram and crown.
Trumpeters had gold lace on their coat.

Hope this helps?

Thanks Herkybird, I am beginning to think there may have been a change in the cuff colour around the beginning of WSS. I have been told that the Hall CD shows them as having blue cuffs in 1690 and 1698.

Yeah blue cuffs in the earlier period and I think blue blanket too.
