After painting my own war of roses banners for the last decade and longer, I have been looking for a printed alternative( My eye sight is getting older) and discovered a comprehensive range by a company called CitadelSix
I really like the look of them and wondered if any of you good people here at TMP have ever used them and if you would recommend them.

Many thanks for your time

Cheers
Chris

Hmmm …
These appear to be water slide decals that you mount on pewter or aluminium foil. I would be wary of using water slide decals, they tend to be fragile and perhaps would not take kindly to being bent about when you make the flag flutter.

Personally, I produce all my flags, standards and banners by printing suitable images from the Internet onto paper and then using PVA to glue them to the pole. If you put the flutter in while the glue is wet, it dries hard and holds the shape.

Check with the Grimsby Wargames Society site as I believe they provide free downloads.
There was another site that I used several years ago that had hundreds of free flag and banner downloads, but for the life of me cannot remeber the name. Ahh old age.

I've used Citadel Six livery badges – and they are some of the fiddilest and most fragile decals I've used (and I've printed my own in the past!).

I've not used their banners, I use a mix of printed ones, and the ones that come with the Perry plastic figures (which are printed on paper)

One of my gaming group has some canvas banners which are very nice for his WoTR figures – I can check where he got his from.

Thanks Guys, I think Major Bumsore voiced my initial concerns on waterslide type banners, and fred12df has confirmed it,thanks . I have used the LBMS Saxon banner slides with no problems but its a case of not knowing how fragile another manufacturers are.
Chazzmak, I have tried to get the downloads from Grimsby Wargames society but they have removed them from there site and when I tried to email them it failed, shame as there flags look outstanding!

Freezywater?

I was going to suggest Freezywater myself (especially as I love the livery book so much – utterly indispensable), but the listings are simply too vague. If you want a banner for a particular retinue, a catalogue of "Yorkist 1", "Yorkist 2", "Yorkist 3" etc. isn't exactly enlightening.

I actually have a bunch of Perry stuff awaiting banners myself, but have been holding fire until I spot them at a show so I can see which sheets actually have the stuff that I want on them.

Major Bumsore, Thankyou kindly sir for taking the time to give me the link. All flags saved for printing!

Cheers everyone for the advice and help.

Which is why the catalogues gives full lists for all sheets. They're searchable too.

OTH Geoff (Citadelsix proprietor) is incredibly helpful – he's putting sheets together for our Bannockburn project and the designs look great.

I agree , very nice designs, I really like the look of his war of roses stuff, which is why I asked if anyone had used them and what they thought!
Do you know if the banners and long tailed flags are solid transfers or do they easily fall apart!!!

The name finally came to me ! Google "warflag" Lots of free interesting stuff on their website. They have WOTR banners and flags in the medieval section
