I'm looking for comments, constructive and otherwise, about
the Kings Mountain Over Mountain Men. They were available from Your Hobby Place at Cold Wars.

So, if you saw them in person, what did you think?

I just got to work on mine last night, the ones I got from The Major.

I had heard some rumors that you had to be careful matching the heads to the poses, but I had no problems at all.
I took the time to drill out the neck hole with a pin vise and cut the necks on the heads too long for fitting. Then, when I shaved to the proper length and squirted some cheap super glue down the neck hole, everything fit nicely.
I also like the wide bases, since I glue my dudes to washers. Nothing is as irritating as tiny bases that have to be propped up while the epoxy sets.

Anyway, they got primed late last night and I am looking forward to painting them. They should work very well with my method, which is white priming, block painting and The Dip.

I will probably be getting some "Philadelphia Associators" soon. What Continental codes do you recommend for "not too shabby" Continentals to go with the Associator heads?

Bill;
I, of couse, think they are spiffing. But then again, I'm biased.

Slowly working on mine. They are nice. They were bumped in the painting queue by some British Light Infantry that had to get finished in time for a North Bridge at Concord scenario.

John, I've only seen pix of the greens, so let's wait until the final product arrives to make a judgement. I told Alan that I want a "campaign" look, but nothing as extreme as the Eureka ragged Continentals.

I'm still looking for Cold Wars atendees to voice their opinions.

Bill, of course I had ordered mine directly from you before it was posted who would be carrying them at Cold Wars and I may seem alittle biased but to me they are exceptional figures. The only compliant I heard from someone at the show was that since they were being sold at the show as a complete pack it would not fit into what this guy wanted. I did mention to him that ordering directly from you he would be able to pick what figures he wanted and that seemed to satisfy his needs. So hopefully he will be placing an order soon.
