Thanks to the players who played in my test play game on Friday afternoon at Cold Wars. I thought the game went well and it was a competitive game that came down to the last turn with the issue still in doubt. Players were running the game without much help by turn two or three and it played in under three hours with 6 people that were not familiar with the rules before the game started. We found a couple of things that could be cleaned up a little and got some great feedback from the players (thanks John!). It is very beneficial to test play with those outside of your own group I think. Anyway, with recent progress, I hope to have them available this summer…maybe by Historicon.

I hope to have a press release of sorts soon which will have a detailed description of the game, maybe within a week or two??

The armies are divided into three commands as per most western medieval battles. Commands move when their card is turned up. Armies are typically from 12-20 units. The time period is from roughly 1100 through the Wars of the Roses (we are test playing Great Italian Wars though). The melee is the heart of medieval warfare to me and I have designed the game so that melees may last several turns with a lot of back and forth. I have included a "standard" basing size, but any basing will work as long as both sides have roughly the same size bases. I wanted this to be flexible so that anyone with an army could try them out. I will get more out soon, for now I am finishing up the test play and the editing so that I can get them to print.

Thanks for your interest.
