Great Idea! and great table!
In fact, simple scenarios like that are incredibly easy to setup… I wonder why we do so little of them. The "tournament" approach of the rules (DBA and HOTT) always seem to pull us away from this kind of gaming. And it's really a shame, because I always have much more fun in these scenarios…

I agree completely; there seem to be very few scenarios published for DBA or HOTT. It's not necessary to stick rigidly to the competition format of equal armies with symmetrical victory conditions, though. A little imagination can produce quite a lot of variety!
