pay is at the heart of many failed ventures in Africa. The Seleka rebels abandoned their coalition when their promised bonuses and pay were not forthcoming, tossing the C.A.R.into turmoil.bokoHaram pays their Jihadists on time and retain loyalty, all they wanted to do in the Sudan was to avoid paying non-existent soldiers ,by forcing them to show up in person, seems reasonable to me,but they had to use artillery to end the mess.
