Here is a game played using bases from a new acquired Carthaginian army against my good friend Noel of the Durban Wargames Club. I played Carthage (blue); Noel played Marian Roman (red). The terrain consisted of two steep hills behind which each player placed his camp.

Noel was plagued by poor pip dice at crucial moments whilst yours truly was luckier. The game could easily have gone the other way.

The diagrams reproduced the game from memory and are an approximation. At the end of the game Noel lost 5 figures, I lost 1 (I think it might have been the Auxilia base).

No reserves = defeat in DBA3.

We just played 4 games last Tuesday night…
HYW English vs French and
HYW English vs Scots

I got a 4G to 1 playing the English…
Weirdly enough… the Scots won a game… they finally got into contact with the LBs and ate them (not that I was commanding the Scots mind you!(which may be their problem))

3.0 plays so much better than 2.2 in this period…

Carthage vs. Rome is always a good punch up and nice use of graphics.

It might be interesting to play the game again with the newer version.

The latest draft is still available for preview in the file section at the DBA Yahoo group.

Look the file name 30 Sept DBA3.0.pdf

Cheers,

Great timurilank, thanks. I've downloaded it and will print out for future reference.

I cooked up a 2-sided reference sheet for personal use. It might be of interest to you.

Cheerio,

Justin
