Weird…? Well great stuff anyway. Now let's see, how much of my paycheck can I blow on these awesome minis before my wife finds out…

John the OFM04 Mar 2014 7:50 p.m. PST

Oh, it's not Game of Thrones? grin

Pictors Studio04 Mar 2014 8:36 p.m. PST

Oh, that sucks big time. Now that we've gotten back into Infinity a lot of that stuff is on the "to buy" list.

Does anyone know why they are doing this other than "however, as part of a significant change designed to enable us to offer greater support to our partners" or at least know what exactly that means?

Reading between the lines, perhaps they're retiring this range so they can focus their 28mm efforts on future Mantic/Deadzone releases? No reason to have competing sci-fi lines when Mantic will pay good money to promote their line. Again, just guessing.

PatrickWR04 Mar 2014 9:11 p.m. PST

Also the release states that 28mm GOT vehicles likely won't be affected. Seeing as how those were the models I am most interested in, I guess the sky is not falling after all.

Stoss5504 Mar 2014 9:15 p.m. PST

dammit.

just… dammit. they had some beautiful 28mm minis. i guess i really just need to buy things right away from now on, instead of making long lists of future purchases for future projects, haha.

Pictors Studio04 Mar 2014 9:25 p.m. PST

I'm getting the civilians. I guess I'll order them when I get back from Cold Wars.

McWong7305 Mar 2014 12:18 a.m. PST

The Tpea infantry were very nice, need to get some now.

Stealth100005 Mar 2014 12:44 a.m. PST

I hope they are re-released as 15mm.

Antenociti has clarified time and again (on their Facebook, they seem to have scant time to visit old fashioned places like discussion forums) that 28mm scale vehicles aren't included in the "going OOP" list and moreover their planned vehicle-related KS projects are still proceeding as planned.

Still, I'm not personally at all happy with their decision but I guess they do need the resources for their subcontracting work. Which could easily be much more lucrative than maintaining a niche miniatures line.

didnt the makers of infinity buy the rights to the scenary so could this not be part of the move to them?

Or was that another range they did?

Antenociti is NOT selling the molds for all their terrain bits or 28mm troopers/civilians.

I'm a bit irked, because I wanted a couple of those Nova-Rus battlesuits and don't have any slack in the budget to get them.

I hope that a lot of the terrain has limited changes and comes back into production soon.

CBPIII06 Mar 2014 7:21 a.m. PST

Had to do an order last night for some of the civilians that are left. This explains why a lot of what I want from their figures line is out of stock.

Johny Boy06 Mar 2014 3:25 p.m. PST

Seems they are channeling their resources and energies into subcontracting work, just hope they maintain their other ranges

TwinMirror08 Mar 2014 8:51 a.m. PST

That really sucks. the GOT civilians are superb…can I justify getting some right now? …hmmm…

Dropship Horizon11 Aug 2014 8:36 a.m. PST

Anyone picking up the 28mm GOT range?

Cheers

I really hope so. I picked up some before antenocitis dropped them, but could always use some more cool civilians.

dwartist11 Aug 2014 11:40 a.m. PST

Not as far as I know – once they're gone, they're gone. Seems reasonable to presume that Jed will keep the molds himself for possible re-usage in the future.

Jed has been very firm about the GOT infantry/civilian figures NOT getting sold.

I don't know what all he's planning, but I do know a few details. For example, a lot of the existing terrain is getting either Infinity-specific or Deadzone-specific details. The various 'Arms Lockers' are getting faction-specific guns added, and will be released as 'Designed for Infinity Yu Jing Arms Lockers' (for example).

I would hope that he convinces CB to allow for a re-release of the civilians. Dunno what he's planning to do about the blatantly-military troops, but I hope he figures out something.

As I understand it, he ran all of the models to the point that the molds wore out. So to bring them back into production would require new molds and maybe even new masters.

Thanks for the update, Lion.

Sad news…hope that eventually, someone will commission him to sculpt some more civvies.

Thanks Lion
