I'm a big fan of the work of the very talented figure sculptor Paul Hicks and I particularly like his work for Claymore Castings – 28mm Highland faction lead by McDonald, Lord of the Isles. Terrific work.

No apologies for showing these finely painted and amazing figures by Dave Imrie from his Saxon Dog blog. With much respect to him. saxondog.blogspot.co.uk

Additionally, these painted figures from the talented Darren Linington from Claymore Castings website. Fantastic.

Like the base work on the last ones.

These are some of my favorite castings.

These are really nice. Look like they would work great as Game of Thrones types too.

Excellent. I really must get around to painting my Claymore purchase :-)

Indeed the three figures pictured just became the Greatjon Umber and a Stark command stand. (Yes I know he should be missing some fingers.)

This reminds me I need to order more!

(Size fits in well with current crop of Perry plastics.)

They are just excellent figures that I would recommend to all who want to game the mid to late 14thC (and a little beyond).

Maybe a bit early but still useful for the battle of Harlaw.

They would do fine me thinks.

They would be fine for Harlaw and a lot of the figures in the range are eminently suitable for both sides for the Wars of Independence from 1296 onward so long as you can find suitable men-at arms to supplement the infantry…as discussed elsewhere on TMP it's easy to get mounted MAA; dismounted ones are much more of a challenge.
