Hi Folks I was able to push ahead with the current rail project in the shed this weekend and I have now finished the embankments A full tutorial plus loads of pictures on the blog link

Very good. It is interesting how many historical actions seemed to take place around raised tracks. Off course tracks always go somewhere and may be the same way one wants to go as well. Brillant and thanks for sharing and I may have to try this out. Craig |

A railroad embankment plays a very prominent part in a WW2 battle chronicled by Otto Carius in his book "Tigers in the Mud". The Russians burrowed through the backside and emplaced AT guns, but the embankment represented a real obstacle to tank operations for them. |
