I've been a busy bee this week and also made a start on the Militia that are going to make up my Republican faction.

Only half a dozen so far, but I'm really enjoying painting these.

Are they supposed to be Anarchists? If so, the gorillos should be black and red. Otherwise, they would usually either be entirely red, or left in their original khaki green with appropriate insignia affixed. Only falangists, assaltos, aviators, and mozos were issued blue caps, usually trimmed in white, or in the case of late war falangists, red. Only the mozos wore a cap in the colours depicted. My source: my own copy of Bueno's 'Uniformes Militares de la Guerra Civil Espanola'.
