I took a few photos during a 54mm Western Gunfight skirmish game on Saturday. [URL=http://www.flickr.com/photos/116086816@N08/12858832225.jpg.html] Primarily Steve Weston figures, with a few Timpo in there too. link |

Nice to see western skirmish in 54mm. I have quite a bit of gear for it but it's been packed away for years – waiting for me to finish my "man cave". What rules do you use? |

Very nice. I've got to get back to work on my 54mm Old West project

Very nicely done. Really nice not the Mag 7 figures. The buildings are excellent too, scratch built? The walls seem commercial. I have done this game with the great 25mm figures from Jeff Caruso in the late 90's, but things look better in 54mm. I wonder if I could get enough Mexicans to do this in 75mm? |

The rules are "home grown" with the Seven getting 4 actions each, per turn (5 for Chris and Vin,) and the Bandits getting two actions per turn -- except for Calvera who gets four actions each turn. Firing is determined by distance -- close range 6" = D6, medium range 7-12" = D8, long range 13-36" = D10, longer range D12, all the way up to 72" = D20. Movement is a D6 per action for the Seven; Bandits get 3 x D6 for first action and 2 x D6 movement for second action. The buildings are primarily Barzso "Mark of Zorro" buildings, now sadly mostly out of production, with a few scratch-built buildings and a ceramic "holiday" building in there too. Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm only now beginning to master the art of posting photos here. |

Wild West skirmish and 54mm seem made for each other. Thank you for sharing! |

Very inspiring! I ran a Magnificent Seven game in 25/28mm using Legends of the old West rules and it was only so so. I think it calls out for 54mm and home brew rules. I really like the simplicity of your rules! The only thing I'd add is the occasional off board sniper fire which caused all the Seven's casualties in the movie. I bought this set of buildings and figures which appeared in Wargames Illustrated second or third hand: link The figures needed some repair work so I have yet to run a game. If you're in the San Francisco bay area you'll see it at a local convention in the near future. |

Nick Stern -- those are beautiful buildings and figures! What a treasure to be able to pick them up second / third hand. Thanks for the suggestion on the sniper fire -- definately worth trying-out. |

Lions Den -- thank you for the feedback! Putting the photos up is the next best thing to actually playing in a game. |
