Niels de Westphalia is not only the guy behind all our (and a many others) carts, but he's also behind most of the Train-assets that we've seen in Dioramas such as the fantastic Croebern1813 one.

He know decided to bring his huge private collection of 20mm carts and guns to the market. These will be available through our friends at Schilling-miniaturen.

Someone's got to say something!

Not my scale, but knowing the quality we can expect, looking forward to seeing them. I strongly suspect many of the carts would fit into a 28mm set up…and the cart horses become small ponies.

Is it an accident of history that so many German dioramas are in 1:72 (or, indeed, amazing flats) whilst in UK 28mm dominates the larger scales these days?

Another impressive set from Westfalia.

Over the last 7-8 years I have probably painted 4-5000 28mm figures. Over the last 12 months I have been painting up some 1/72 figures for WWII, and I have come to the the realisation that 1/72 is really an ideal scale. You can paint detail, with maybe a little less work then 28mm, but for wargaming they are just a better scale because of their size.

Good luck with it Kawe.

and tragically Schilling-Min are about to close. They are selling off stock and I would invest heavily, but they will not ship to the UK. The most obscure islands are OK, but not GB. Guess why and ponder what a great idea that was.

Seems Franznap may start to carry some of the 1/72 Westfalia products, so fingers crossed
