Played out a battle of Brigadier General this afternoon. I normally use a 3' square board for 10mm but my table is full of Memoir '44 and unpainted lead at the moment. Better pictures of these armies here: link

Using my two convention 10mm armies. I commanded the French Force while the AI had the Germans. Quick and bloody. Bit of a seesaw battle but the AI prevailed and won by taking out my armoured car company.

End of the first turn. As you can see the German ARC element beat back my HWI element into my own troops and then advanced! This marked the first time we've seen more than one unit affected by another falling back. Hence all the FP markers down the line. Up at the top the French LAR company shows some "Elan!" and pushes the bigger German Armor back, giving the nearby advancing French INF company time to assist by flanking the Germans.

Things went back and forth for a bit and quickly ended as shown below. It might have turned out different had my Armor unit advancing rapidly towards the German center line and HQ not stalled out. Repairs, or out of gas with our losses they failed to pass the the Cohesion number and thereby affect the remainder of the battle.

AI? Are these computer modded rules?

Mooseworks801 Mar 2014 10:38 p.m. PST

No. Solo wargame rules with a logical built in AI for the opponent, known as the "Enemy AI Matrix."
