Today I got this email. There is a link to zalil.ru/34987182 which is pretty clearly not from HMGS.

I thought the dress code part was pretty funny but I am wondering how they are getting these email addresses

"Dress code"!

A sure tipoff that the message is fake.

LOL Did they say camouflage for dress code? Jeez these guys a shelacking is too good for them.

Yes, I got that email too.
I didn't click on the link because I figured it was probably a really bad idea.

And I knew that HMGS would never be so polite.
None of us are "valued members".

They won't admit it, but this is not the first time the HMGS member list has been leaked out.

Dress code = "no gang colors", they've probably had some trouble in the past…lol

I didn't click on it. I don't click on any link I don't know the person personally. All others are deleted.

It they wanted the scam to work, they would have mentioned HMGS' new Fastpass(tm) to return to the registration line at a certain time without waiting in line.

Any Mickey Mouse organization has them nowadays.

Anything with a .ru comes from Russia. Some of the best hackers in the business.

We should do a "Russia" theme so we can get back at them.

Yes indeed it's a big pfishing expedition especially since I doubt there's any H MGS meeting on February 27, let alone one with the dress code.

What I find fascinating is the fact that they have somehow latched on to H MGS. Such a lowly organization within the total framework of organizations in the United States. And how would they know which people to reach. are both of those people who got messages from the same area or organization? I get hundreds of messages every week from all over the world's for all sorts of things but I've never gotten this one.

I can imagine that an organization that deals with a war although it's not in the title of the organization, would be in the crosshairs of the NSA. But how does the Russian mafia or whoever controls activities like this in the Russia know about us?
