Caesar 1/72 minis seem to be moving into movie franchises: Star Wars, Avatar, Alien

Interesting. Looks like the Aliens APC is an older model from Asia:

Also, says they have 2 in stock. :)

I hate "Limited Edition" releases.

Of course, all really are, if you think about it, but the cache' usually doesn't live up to the higher pricetag, at least for me, in most cases.

Garand25 Feb 2014 1:45 p.m. PST

All of the model kits (Xwing, etc) are resales of Fine Molds kits. 1/72 Stormtroopers aren't bad per se, but I think these are definitely geared to the kit modeler rather than wargamer. Also I think Caesar still uses fairly bendy plastic. Can anyone confirm?

Damon.

Garand25 Feb 2014 1:46 p.m. PST

Also under "Brand" it says Miniknight? Perhaps the same Knight Models that were doing 28mm SW figures not too long ago?

Damon.

McWong7325 Feb 2014 2:29 p.m. PST

These could be their pre painted range.

CorSecEng25 Feb 2014 3:00 p.m. PST

haha the low res picture made the clone troopers look fat. I had to click on it to get a better look and see that it was the belt :)

Wargamer Blue25 Feb 2014 3:05 p.m. PST

Im buying them

Bravo for beating Tango!Nice post.

Caesar still uses the bendy plastic, I got their five new figure sets yesterday. They are selling their own products and other peoples stuff on their website.

I would never beat Tango. Someone took my stick.

What I wonder about is licencing. It costs a fortune. So did Caesar……I won't speculate.

bruntonboy26 Feb 2014 3:14 a.m. PST

I think you only managed to beat Tango because he'e in the DH.

So within one day of joining, a post with a provocative title!

Why?

Argyll sox26 Feb 2014 5:00 a.m. PST

@ Tony

Security Guard? Nosey neighbour? Guard dog?

Get a sense of humour would be my advice.

If it was my business I'd comment on the inordinate stifle to post ratio you have.

Argyll sox26 Feb 2014 5:26 a.m. PST

BTW I can recommend the Caesar Fantasy figures so I'm hoping their move into sci-fi will be as worthwhile.

Tony5826 Feb 2014 6:03 a.m. PST

Couldn't care less about that!

And I have a sense of humour :)

But, in light of the 'Tango baiting,' for your '1st. post,' I thought it was of significance!

Argyll sox26 Feb 2014 6:11 a.m. PST

I wonder if Oor Tony in the post above was apologising for his officiousness?

I'll never know of course….

Angel Barracks26 Feb 2014 7:37 a.m. PST

If it was my business I'd comment on the inordinate stifle to post ratio you have.

The stats are all messed up so that ratio is incorrect.
As is mine.

:O

I wonder if Oor Tony in the post above was apologising for his officiousness?

I'll never know of course….

I cannot be 'officious,' because I have no position of authority here or anywhere else, for that matter!

And I have not done anything to apologise for!

And I will not be manipulated in to doing so!

I have to wonder what age you are?

Perhaps, you will honestly tell me?

You really need to re-read my original and follow up post, think about it, and see where I am coming from!

TwinMirror26 Feb 2014 8:48 a.m. PST

Something a little strange about this 'casear miniatures' webstore…I checked casear's main website (miniknight.com) and there is no link to this new webstore – not even a mention of it, anywhere.

And the new site doesn't link back to the original site, either.

I'm not saying that this new webstore isn't legit, but that TMP members should perhaps be a little cautious and investigate further before firing off cash to this new site.

I'll investigate too and let you know what I can find out.

@ Twin Mirror

Good man. I'll await your verdict.

People thank Tango/Armand because he often brings to our attention things we may have otherwise missed.

can't other people post links to new and exciting things?

CPBelt26 Feb 2014 4:07 p.m. PST

Caesar's website has always been a bit wonky IMO. I don't see the need to buy from them directly anyway since they are in the Far East. Cheaper to buy local online.

Nice to see the Assyrian Chariots coming back. Hopefully more of their ancients will return.

I agree about their fantasy--great figures. Sadly, the box I bought for my son five years ago still sits unpainted. Then again, I am the world's slowest painter. :-/

TwinMirror27 Feb 2014 5:46 a.m. PST

Which box have you got, CPBelt? I'm still missing the elves set, which seem to be unavailable here in europe, and most website's shipping from the US is pretty outrageous…
