I got to play several games of Zombiecide this weekend and loved it. What a well done game. I could not help but notice that this format would work well for dungeon crawls.
Has any one else began the process of converting this to dungeon exploration yet? Or, better yet, does the company that produces the game have any plans for a dungeon crawl based on the same rules?

Zombicide actually reminded me of the D&D dungeon-crawl boardgames (Castle Ravenloft, Wrath of Ashardalon, and Legend of Drzzt.)

They don't really use the same mechanics, but they feel the same. (For example, the monsters in the D&D games are controlled by cards and not the players. The D&D games are also coop.)

I was actually thinking of using Zombicide to maybe make a Ghostbusters game ((RIP Harold Ramis, btw.)))

The Doom: The Boardgame rules would make for some good, quick, zombie-killing, dungeon-crawling fun. One dice roll for each attack, with special rules for shotguns, assault rifles, grenades etc.

There's even a fan-made zombie mod or two out there. check BGG.

Edit: Or the Gears of War: The Boardgame rules, which also allow for A.I. enemies.

No, had not thought of it.

Not that I know of. Although I did not see any such news when I visited their website Saturday night. They may be busy with fulfilling Wave 2 for KS supporters right now. Afterwards, they can start new projects. Perhaps you could write them and suggest they do a dungeon-crawl version.

Hhmmmm

A Space Hulk conversion wouldn't be bad ether. You could ether keep it as it is using Rage Zombies and replace Termies with Regulars (there are rules for Imperial Guard types out there). Or increase, double, the counts on the scanner chits and slow them down to half the squares(3) of genestealers. Maybe add a rule that feasting Zombies block a corridor for two turns before they start hunting again?

Thing that make you go , Hhmmm

I've mentioned this same idea before. It seems it would be very easy to convert to a simple dungeoncrawl.

Replace the zombies with low level goblins or orcs, runners and fatties with something a little more dangerous, and the abomination with the boss of your choice…dragon, vampire, etc.
Replace the search cards with appropriately themed weapons…
Swap out the city boards for some dungeon tiles, and presto! You've got a very basic, fast paced dungeoncrawl.

If they'd make it, I'd definitely buy it.

I hope to go to the CMON Expo this May…if they have the Zombicide creators there like last year, maybe I'll suggest it.
