Hello Everyone

I want to help raise some money for my Rugby club. They are having a raffle on the 4/5/2014. The tickets are £5.00 GBP and the prize is cheque for half the money taken for the tickets and last year it was £2,785.00 GBP

Also as an incentive for TMP members I will hold a mini raffle to win a figure of you choice to be sculpted by me. You will also be entered into the main draw for the main prize. This means even if you do not win the miniature prize you could win the money!

The draw for the sculpt will be on on Star Wars day May the 4th. If you wish to purchase a ticket you will need to send me an email to phicks1 at mac dot com with a contact phone number and an address. I will take payment via Paypal (paypal address is phicks1 at mac dot) and it will need to be made as gift payment that way the Rugby club will get all the money.

The money will go towards helping the 200+ Boys and Girls from 2yrs to 17yrs who play every Sunday. The youth section just about breaks even so every little helps.

Any questions please PM more or send an email to phicks1 at mac dot

Thank you

Paul

Sounds like a good cause but what position do 2yr olds play on that team? Do they use them as the ball or something?

phicks124 Feb 2014 2:24 p.m. PST

No! lol. They play BUGBY it's an hour session of skill based games using Rugby balls. Two of these session are run on a Sunday and there is a year waiting list to get kids on. With the increase of fees for the gym space needed the Bugby sessions run as a loss. But it has been decided that activities like this are needed to help build better communities and the shortfall will be taken up in fundraising!

I know that a Sports club may not be considered a needy cause but in a small town they can be the glue that binds communities together.

Thanks again

Paul Hicks

Ok, I'm interested, but I'm also interested in commissioning a promotional sculpt.

napthyme24 Feb 2014 9:12 p.m. PST

I'd be interested for a fiver, but can we see some examples of your sculpting skill so we know what you could possibly do?

And what scale figure are we talking?

phicks124 Feb 2014 10:54 p.m. PST

To Napthyme well spotted! The figure will be a 28mm human scale figure or less. In regards to seeing any of my work you can see go to any of these companies in particular order Warlord Games, Empress Miniatures, Redstar Miniatures, Tesuba Miniatures, Bac Nim Miniatures, Murasko Miniatures, Mutton Chop Miniatures, Claymore Castings, Pro Gloria Miniatures and a few others I may have forgotten. Hope there is something there that you would like.

Brigade Games, Westfalia Games are another couple as well!

Lol – as the kids say.

I genuinely was surprised that napthyme didn't know who Paul is.

That'll teach me to make assumptions.

Just head up to the current news and look at the characterful Jazz Age figs by Empress.
An excellent sculptor, and what a neat idea to support a local sports club. Hope it goes well.

Ah, I see he does a lot of historical's. That explains why I was not familiar with him. My source do not have a lot of them in stock, so I have not carried any of them.

Can we buy more then one ticket or is it a one per chap deal?

phicks125 Feb 2014 3:25 p.m. PST

Hi Napthyme you can buy as many as you want and good luck!

Just out of interest Paul, how much did you manage to raise?
Kind regards
C.

phicks125 May 2014 5:18 p.m. PST

I Chokidar Lee Burton won the figure and I managed to raise £500.00 GBP for the rugby club. Overall £2,400.00 GBP was raised for club!
