I'm thinking of changing from 2 to 15mm for my massed Boer War games. Does anyone have any experience of either of these ranges?

I would choose neither personally. Horribly outdated in my opinion. Essex do British in their Sudan range and I would choose minifigs Boers or even ACW rebs over either of those.

Yes, but both those modern ranges are twice the price.

I like what *incredibly* little I've seen of the two ranges, but since they are so very cheap I thought it best to ask around a little before splurging.

What makes them so outdated to you?

Gallia: horrendously poor sculpting. Naismith, I don't know so well, but have owned a few over the years. I suspect the main issues would be smallness, limited selection, and odd poses and anatomical proportions.

Old Glory do a full range in 15mm

I used to have some Naismith figures, and as I recall they were very nicely sculpted but very small and with a limited number of poses. If price was a major consideration and I was choosing between Naismith and Gallia, I would choose Naismith.

Price is indeed a major issue, whereas being a small "true" 15 is not – in fact it would help emphasise the vastness of the veldt and the kops.

I don't suppose any has pictures they could share?

google naismith 15mm images and you will get something if nothing turns up here.

Plenty of pictures, but not of this. His other ranges seem much more commonly used.
