This is not the fastest nor the "best" way to paint 10mm figures. It is just the way I do it. As a sausage-fingered, rheumy-eyed, shaky-handed 50 year old, I had to find out a few techniques, over the past months, that enabled me to end up with decent results in 10mm. In sharing them I'm hoping that others might find a new trick or two. The miniatures are from Pendraken miniatures American Civil War range and the unit I'm painting is the 8th New York State Militia "Washington Grays"

Great Presentation. The main thing I take from that is: a. 50 year olds can paint 10mm figures; b. Use a magic dip before painting, as well as after, to show up the detail on the little bleeders
Must try that
Thanks! (Not sure about the green boots though

I like your trick with the flags (leaving the hoist unglued and then splitting it to attach to the staff). Beats the usual 'wrap 'em around the staff and the then try to animate 'em' method. |

Ha! I just started my 10mm armies. I actually stumbled across this video when I googled "how to paint 10mm ACW." I found the section on the flags intriguing and I have watched it 3 times. |

I'm glad that you found some tips and tricks in it. The flag trick is so much more forgiving that wrapping it around the flagpole trying to get a snug fit and then bending the flag. If one messes up it is just a ruined flag. |

Try this in your browser search thingy [Edit – cool – TMP turns it into a real link] YouTube link I know I'm not technologically minded – sorry Hopefully that'll work till someone with more skill can come up with an easier way But it is an interesting idea on how to do them |
