Hi all,
With just two more battalions to complete the 4th Legere brings my Oporto contingent of French Light Infantry to 9 battalions.

Really nice painting. Napoleon at war by any chance? Great rule set and looking forward to the new 1813 book when it comes out..

Thanks for posting.
Cheers

Hi Chris,
Thank you
I have based all my units for Napoleon at War, ready for the day they get round to doing the campaign book for the Peninsular War. In the mean time I tend to use Carnage & Glory II which give an excellent game and are less taxing on the little grey cells.

That might be a while! We were talking about carnage and glory the other day. Can a Game easily be played in an evening?

Great looking figures

I'm tempted to put together a battalion of the Warmodelling figures for a Muskets & tomahawks game as they have a wide variety of poses

The British Battalions of Detachments are particularly appealing

The answer to you question about C&G is yes. Depends on size of the battle but yes with a couple of hours all games can be successfully concluded. You could also come back and finish later since the program keeps track of everything. Great system to use.

Great figures as always! Ive been trying to keep pace with you in my painting of units but have recently fallen behind. Happens with a young family to tend to. Cant wait to see the Oporto layout once your units are complete.

Thanks guys,

Hey Maldini I love the Spanish, great job.

Thanks Captain KGL, family always comes first, this is just a hobby and you are right, Carnage & Glory are excellent and will accommodate an evening of gaming.

Kinsevatt, you will find if you try out C&G that the system repays familiarity and you can really get through the moves quite quickly as all the heavy lifting is done by the system. In addition you end up with a record of the game, in the the form of the casualty lists and game result, to go along with any photo record you've made.

Hi Alan, I like the Warmodellling range. I'm looking forward to putting some of their Spanish ranges together, as they really have captured the look and spirit of the Spanish forces. I have a few battalions in the to do box ready for Talavera.
