I'm making a DIY copy of the old Assault On Hoth board game and am looking for minis to represent these vehicles. I need five AT-ATs, a three AT-STs, eight Snowspeeders (and also half a dozen laser turrets but I'm happy modelling up something approximate for those)

Searching on Ebay for individual Micromachine scale ones will take me decades and far too much money as they mostly seem sold as part of whole sets, so I'm happy if anyone can point me to a minis manufacturer that makes "Not-Star Wars" figures. Scale doesn't have to be exact or even match up between the different vehicles, they'll be on hex bases an inch across but even that's not hugely important…

Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

Star Wars Risk AT-ST and Snowspeeders can be seen completed on my blog here:

as part of the 'Plastic fantastic' series of posts – they are highly recommended, with nice crisp detail and decent proportions – can be found relatively cheaply too, as spare parts for the Boardgame.

Those Risk pieces are perfect…! And, two minutes later…Ebay buy it now clicked. The internet is ace.

Just AT-ATs to go…I've built two paper ones that but honestly, my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be :-)

Thanks everybody!

are these about the same size as the Battle for Hoth Battle set from the 1990's that I think was made by IMC Plastics?

I'd forgotten how much I miss SteelonSand blog updates. There are so many great wargaming blogs, but SoS remains for me one of the most interesting and inspiring.

Agreed.

I miss them too, one of the few on 2mm too.

Saying that, of course mine is way out of date, largely because I need a computer and software upgrade so I'm not always fighting the blogging software.

Ditto Miggor's comments about the SW Risk pieces. Mine also got painted by a friend. Great job on your figures SteelonSand!
