I went on Easyarmy.com to check out the British Armoured Recce Squadron (Guards) from the Market Garden book. Just looking for something new to do, and this would give me a British LW choice. The Cromwells look like fast Shermans, which is nice. And the Challenger! Goodness gracious. But what caught my eye was the Allied infantry that can tag along, specifically the 82nd Airborne platoons. They can use captured panzerfausts??? Along with bazookas and gammon bombs? Talk about mugging German tanks! Naturally, I gots to get me some. My usual Old Glory Cold Wars order was going to include Yank Airborne anyway, but now
Does anyone make 15mm US Airborne with panzerfaust? I won't need all that many. Two, 3 max. Or, if anyone makes loose panzerfausts, I can do conversions. |

Or, if anyone makes loose panzerfausts, I can do conversions You might even be able to make them yourself. Take a small length of straight metal rod, and add some modelling putty for the warhead. |

Yeah, there is that. Not nearly as complicated as a panzerschreck. |

I agree, PzFausts are easy conversions. I used a ~2mm diameter piece of plastic rod for the warhead and a 1mm diameter piece of plastic rod for the launch tube. take a mini with a rifle shouldered, carefully cut the rifle out and plop the launch tube in place. Another good pose starts with a mini with the rifle at the hip. In this case, you're going to use the rifle to become the launch tube of the Faust and glue a warhead made from 2mm plastic rod at the end of it. |

I thought somebody made a pack of US figures with captured weapons, Panzerfausts, MP40s, etc. I went looking through my pile of dead-lead but could not find anything. Another easier conversion would be to find/make a panzerfaust and have it "strapped" to the figure. Not as official but at least you will recall witch figure has one. Note that I don't think they had their own carry strap, it was something done "in the field." |

I would certainly have quite a few unpainted germans with PF's if you were interested
if you pay the mail I can search through that massive lead mountain monster that lives in my basement
super busy right now but if you wanted them

Thanks, but that would not be a US Airborne uniform. |

IIRC, when the 82nd pulled out of Normandy the order was given to take as many Panzerfausts back to Britain as possible. Seems the 82nd Troopers liked them more than the bazooka for dealing with German armor. Can't help you on the figures, sorry. |

Flames of War US888
..Para Warriors of Market Garden includes several panzerfaust armed Paratroopers among other captured weapons. Cool little blister. |

I should have known "they" would have them. Just checked out the pack on the WarStore. On my list for Cold Wars. |

I have that pack to add some colour to my 15mm Bolt Action Paras. Nice mix of PF's, MP40's and MG42's. |
