Dear All,

I'd just like to announce that we have another excellent article by Carlos Godoy on today's 200th Anniversary of the Battle of La Victoria (12th February 1814) which was one of the key battles of the Venezuelan War of Independence. This is part of our continuing wider series of articles about battles and campaigns of the South American Wars of Independence (1809-1829).

This is another battle ideal for Napoleonic wargamers.

You can find the blog post on the battle(along with other news about new figure releases) in the link below:

Keep up the good work. Latin America's wars are way underrepresented in this hobby. Which is too bad because it is a really interesting subject.

Agreed, I will snag the article Friday at the library.

BTW, is the book available via Amazon, or some other legit US source?

I have seen the book by Gonzalez on a few internet bookshops based in Spain. Best is to enter a search in Spanish in google (use a translate program for quick text). The book though is published in Caracas, and I'm not sure how easy it is to buy directly from there at the moment.

In the meantime if I find a webstore that's selling it, I'll post the link up here.

Regards,

Mark
