I'm working on some terrain and basing for a few games (Mainly Ronin, but thinking of adding Bushido and Kensei to the mix as well as possibly for a Kings of War human list). I know Antiocities used to have some cherry blossom ground scatter that would fit what I wanted, but I can't seem to find it on their site. So, does anyone know where I could find a good source for them. I'm also looking for a good tiger that could fit a few scenarios that would be 25-32mm in size. That kind of covers something that should match rather well for size with all of the different ranges my group would be using. |

Try eBay for "cherry blossom trees" – I've seen several listings for "model rail road" type trees that look like the "Large" ones should be OK for 28mm. |

I did a posting on my blog a while ago about some nice cherry-blossoms I bought off The Style Home on eBay: link

Irregular – irregularminiatures.co.uk – list a 25mm tiger, but I've no idea what size it is. (Click "28mm" and then "Animals" near the end of the menu.) |

GurKhan, that looks like what I wanted for the tiger. With the cherry blossoms, I already have a few trees on order, was trying to find some blossoms that would work in basing figures and as additional touches for terrain. |

Wargames Foundry did (do?) a tiger. I think it was in their Indian range – called The Tiger Hunt or something similar. |

Funny, I am doing exactly the same as Borathan. Kensei and Bushido make excellent Ronin characters. I got my cherry blossom trees from eBay and also a tiger, by DeeZee Miniatures from eBay too. |

Joby, I'm aiming on using the Bombshell minis female samurai along with the kensai Onna Bushi to fill the rest up. Sure, it's not entirely realistic, but I'd rather go with fun. |

I have some Bombshells on order too! Yes, they will be fun. I already have the Kensei Onna Bushi and they are lovely minis. There are some lovely figures by Valiant also. Including some lions, but I really like the ki-rin war dogs. The Kensei Komainu, when they come out, look great too. I am adding my own expansion rules to Ronin for mythological creatures, fictional buntai as well as artillery and naval units
I guess I never do anything by halves! |

Joby4001 – any chance of your naval rules being shared. I would like to do a Wakou pirate warband. I have been using LOTR SBG for samurai skirmishes, but naval rules might make me take the plunge and buy Ronin. Then there's also the kappa from Tengu miniatures. Sigh. 28mm samurai/fantasy Asian is a project that will never end. |

Well, Osprey may be working on an expansion that includes more mythical/magical aspects
and hopefully a few other bits and pieces. Artillery being one of the things, a few "mid-battle" type things that are zoomed in events on a battlefield make good scenarios. And things like the tiger I want for a hunt scenario in a campaign game. I also keep hoping for a good bird headed tengu at some point. Or at least for the one that Kensei had on their kickstarter list if I remember right (Even though it might take some work to armor). I'm also kicking myself for having traded off the samurai stuff I did a few years back after a seven samurai game I'd run in the local store. But, again, what I'm looking for is a source for the cherry tree blossoms themselves to tie the minis and terrain together somewhat by adding a few blown blossoms to the bases
without having to buy extra trees to break down. |

I've got a friend who is trying something out to try for cherry blossoms, namely using some of his scraps of pink foam and finely shredding it as best he can, I think he has an old coffee grinder that he's planning on using. Seems like it might work for a cheap way to get some blossom scatter if the actual shape isn't exactly what you're going for. |
