I enjoyed the write up; it does seem like the onus is on the attacker in these scenarios!

Thanks Gonsalvo. Indeed the onus certainly is on the assault scenarios which we have played a lot of lately.

They are very difficult for the attacker but in a tournament the rewards are higher. For one off games it's just a good challenge, but admittedly when your nearly always the attacker, as I seem to be, it can get dis heartening.

But then, few battles in reality were balanced I guess.

If the Prussian Uhlans had rolled as poorly as they did well, the outcome of the day might well have been quite different, however!
